Thumbnail Sketch of Japanese for the Rubber Room*
by Neilio Cunninghamski

I have always been frustrated with language learning audio tapes. They are so ungodly practical and boring. Most tapes teach you how to say "Where is the bathroom?" or "Where is the nearest money changer?" as if all we do is poop and pay. If I was a reviewer of language learning audio tapes and bored with my job I might just leave it at that...I might just wash my hands of learning, say, Japanese right there.

But I'm not a bored reviewer of Japanese language learning audio tapes...I'd very much like to relate to Japanese people. I think Japanese people are all crazy. Why shouldn't our language learning tapes reflect my cultural perceptions? Therefore, the first installment of a possible series of language learning audio tapes that is perfectly practical for everyday end-users.
